About Me
I’m so excited to be your teacher this year! This will be my 9th year teaching at Porter Gifted Magnet MS. I started teaching English in the LAUSD in 1998. I fell in love with teaching middle school! My favorite part of teaching is helping my students rediscover their love for reading. As the sponsor of the Reading Decathlon Club at Porter, I hope to instill a love for reading, competing, and learning. When I’m not teaching, you can find me perusing local bookstores, spending time in nature, or hanging out with my family.
