Biography

I, Mrs. Garcia have been married to my high school sweetheart and have been married for 37 years. I have a beautiful son and proud of having 2 grandchildren. I love spending time with my family, I am a dog lover, enjoy spending my time gardening, hiking, taking long walks and swimming. Also, I am very active within the two communities I reside in. My personality is always to assist/help neighbors and people that are in need.

Therefore, the ambition of helping others lead to becoming an educator. I have been working for Los Angeles Unified School District since October 1994. I began working in education as a Paraprofessional for 10 years and gained insightful and helpful strategies to assist students in special education. I began teaching 18 years ago in the special education program working with students with a specific learning disability and currently working in the Core Autism program. I enjoy working at a community that is within my area of residence.
