Bio
Welcome to my page! I am Ms. Perkins and I teach 7th grade residential English and 7th grade SAS English. I feel it’s truly an honor to teach our Porter students.
As a student, I attended private K-12 schools and have a background in classic, advanced college prep courses. These academic experiences mean that when your child enters my room they will receive the same, high quality education that I value dearly. My curriculum focuses on modern and classical literature, essays, and collaborative research projects. It’s important to me to introduce my students to various cultures and global issues.
My personal interests are mainly in the arts…theatre, art museums, jazz, and opera. I also have a film photography hobby and I write poetry. My dream is to camp in all of our beautiful national parks. I’d also love to earn a master’s in creative writing and publish my poetry and/or short stories.
