Join this important PTSA meeting to learn about 8th grade grad night, teacher/staff appreciation week, and other upcoming events. We also need parents interested in serving on the PTSA board next year, as our 8th grade families on the board will be leaving to high school.

Congratulations to all students who met their i-Ready Growth Goal for the year or scored 2+ grades above grade level! Join us on the stage in the Quad during lunch Thursday, March 12, for a sweet treat.

George K. Porter Magnet for Innovative Thinking has been recognized by Magnet Schools of America with a National Excellence Award. As a new and emerging magnet, we view this recognition as an affirmation of our direction and a responsibility to continue strengthening instructional practice, program coherence, and student support. Students are invited to join us for free drop-in tutoring every Monday and Wednesday from 3:15–4:15 PM in the library, starting September 15, 2025. Tutoring is supported by Porter teachers and provides extra help with classwork, homework, and study skills. No sign-up required—just drop in!
