15 Week Report Card Porter STARS Celebration with Snow Cones!

SBAC Math and English testing will take place this week on May 1st, 2nd, 8th, and 9th. Dismissal will be at 1:00 PM on SBAC days.

Celebrate Teacher Appreciation week by saying “Thank you!” to a teacher! Shout out to the fabulous Porter PSTA who is sponsoring appreciation events throughout the week at school!

The Los Angeles Unified School District’s Transportation for All program will begin in the 2024-25 school year. Students will have the opportunity to access transportation that ensures they arrive at school safely and on time.

Region North is hosting a Student Safety Town Hall for parents and families on May 2nd at Patrick Henry Middle School from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

Join us for an informational meeting on the different math pathways offered at Porter. This meeting is for incoming 6th graders and current 6th and 7th graders, to find out what math options are offered here, including Algebra and Geometry.

We need all parents and guardians to take the School Experience Survey online by going to https://www.lausd.org/TakeTheSES and clicking the “Parent Survey” button near the bottom of the page.

The School Experience Survey helps Porter MS leadership plan and ensure we are meeting student and family needs.

The deadline for parents to complete the survey is Friday, March 22, 2024.

In addition, you may print out or take a screen shot confirming your completion of the survey. All students who submit evidence to Mrs. Prosor that their parent or guardian completed the survey will be entered into a Prize drawing.
