Magnet Transportation

To check if your child qualifies for transportation services, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Porter Eligibility Map.
  2. Click or tap the magnifying glass in the upper left corner.
  3. Enter your street address.

Based on your address, you’ll see one of the following messages:

  • "This address may be eligible for school bus transportation. Please contact the school's Magnet Coordinator for more information."
  • "This address is NOT eligible for transportation."

If your child is a student in the Gifted Magnet and qualifies for bus services, you can now opt-in to transportation through the Parent Portal. To do this, log in, select your child’s name, and then click on 'Transportation.' There, you can choose to opt-in or opt-out of district transportation services, as well as find bus information and contact details for any questions

If you have questions about the status of your child's bus route, please contact the Transportation Services Division at 1-800-LA BUSES (1-800-522-8737). Be sure to have your child's information ready when you call, or visit https://achieve.lausd.net/Page/17243#eligibility.

Parents can also receive automated text and phone call notifications from the Transportation Services Division when their child’s school bus route is delayed. If you are already receiving automated text notifications from LAUSD, no further action is needed to receive bus delay notifications. If you previously opted out of LAUSD text notifications, you can opt back in by texting "START LAUSD" to 91841. To resume receiving phone call notifications, call (855) 502-7867 from the phone number where you previously received the calls. You can list up to two phone numbers to receive LAUSD text notifications. To add or update your contact information, please contact our school at (818) 920 - 2050.
