George K. Porter School for Advanced Studies (SAS) is dedicated to providing an exemplary educational experience for gifted and talented students. As a demonstration site for outstanding Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) practices, Porter SAS offers high-quality differentiated instruction that emphasizes depth, complexity, acceleration, and novelty. Our program is designed to meet the unique needs of students identified in Intellectual Ability, High Achievement Ability, Specific Academic Ability, Creative Ability, and Leadership Ability categories, or those verified based on critical thinking and achievement.
We pride ourselves on a collaborative and inclusive atmosphere where students and educators work together to explore new ideas and push boundaries. Our dedicated team of teachers continuously develops and refines instructional methods to ensure that every student receives the support and challenge they need.
