Bio
Hello! My name is Jeremy Vargas, and I am the 6th grade ELA/History teacher for our Magnet for Innovative Thinking, aka MIT! I earned my Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from CSUN with a multi-subject emphasis on Education. I have worked with students for over 10 years, and I love mentoring our kiddos to become the leaders of our community.
I'm LA-born and raised, coming from a proud family of immigrants; I have had the privilege of becoming immersed in my heritage, having visited various cities in Latin America- Costa Rica, Panama, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico... and the list continues. My next set of destinations, however, will consist of the cities that house the ancient civilizations I teach in class!
When I'm not talking about ancient history or useful literacy skills, you can find me making art, dancing, or reading a comic book!
