Ms. Darleen Anderson
6th Grade English/History Teacher

Welcome to 6th grade English and History! I’m Ms. Anderson, and I’m excited to embark on this learning journey with you. I’ve been teaching for over 20 years, and this is my 7th year at Porter MS. I have a deep passion for storytelling, literature, and exploring the past to help us understand the present. My goal is to make learning interactive and engaging, where students not only gain knowledge but also develop critical thinking and communication skills.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education and History from Saint Peter's University. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading historical fiction, watching softball, and visiting new places with my kids.

In my class, we’ll be diving into various historical periods, discussing literature from different cultures, and writing creatively. I believe that every student brings a unique perspective, and I’m here to support each one in becoming confident and curious learners.
