Mrs. DeVore's Bio

I'm Mrs. DeVore, the Porter Middle School Librarian.  In my opinion, I have the best job at PMS.  I get to spend my entire day in the largest classroom on campus.  I am surrounded by books and I help students find books to read.

 

As a student, I went to LAUSD schools.  I graduated and went to Cal State Northridge, earning a BA in Child Development.  I continued my education at Cal State Northridge and received my Teaching Credential in English.  I was a middle school English teacher for 20 years.  In 2020, I decided to go back to school at Azusa Pacific University where I earned a Teacher Librarian credential.

 

I am happily married to my husband of over 20 years and we have a 15-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son.  I love to spend quality time with my family when I am not teaching.
