About Me

Hi! I'm Ms. Nakamura, and I am thrilled to be teaching 7th and 8th grade English this year! My goal is to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and explore different genres. From classic literature and poetry to contemporary novels, I strive to instill a love for reading and writing in every student.

 

I received my B.A. in English and European Languages and Transcultural Studies (French) from UCLA. I am currently working on getting my M.A. in Teaching, English Education (Secondary) from Western Governor's University.

 

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, and discovering new books to share with my students. I believe in fostering a supportive community where every student’s voice matters, and I’m excited to see the creativity and growth this year will bring!
