Drop In Tutoring

Drop-In Tutoring

Students are invited to join us for free drop-in tutoring every Monday and Wednesday from 3:15–4:15 PM in the library, starting September 15, 2025. Tutoring is supported by Porter teachers and provides extra help with classwork, homework, and study skills. No sign-up required—just drop in!

About Us

George K. Porter MS has several instructional programs to meet the needs of our diverse student body.  This includes our residential school, School for Advanced Studies, Gifted and High Ability Magnet, and our new magnet program for all students, the Magnet for Innovative Thinking.

In a safe environment and through a rigorous accelerated program, students from George K. Porter Gifted/High Achieving Magnet Middle School will work toward mastery of content area standards and develop academic and social skills that will enable them to become productive members of our ever-changing multiculturally diverse, technologically advancing society.
